ABSTRACT
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of umbilical compress with anti-cancer Xiaogu formula in managing malignant ascites. Methods A total of 56 patients with malignant ascites who met the inclusion criteria were randomized into 28 patients in the treatment group and 28 patients in the control group. The control group was treated with one type of diuretic, and the treatment group was given umbilical compress using Anti-Cancer Xiaogu formula and diuretics. Both groups were treated for 14 days. The changes of abdominal girth, 24 h urine volume, ascites efficacy, TCM syndrome scores, quality of life and adverse reactions were observed. Results The decrease in the maximum depth difference of the ascites in the treatment group was significantly greater than that of the control group (1.16 ± 1.29 vs. 0.00 ± 1.34, Z=-2.553). The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The decrease in abdominal girth in the treatment group was significantly larger than that in the control group (0.57 ± 0.55 vs. 2.61 ± 0.28, Z=-2.264). The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The in 24-hour urine volume in the treatment group after intervention (-800.18 ± 64.12 vs.-683.57 ± 55.38, Z=-1.770) was no statistically significant (P>0.05). The response rate in the treatment group was 92.9％ (26/28), while that of the control group was 89.3％ (25/28).treatment group was 71.4％, while that of the control group was 35.7％. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The increase in KPS in the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions Anti-cancer Xiaogu umbilical cord combined with diuretic can reduce the degree of malignant ascites, alleviate clinical symptoms, improve quality of life and decrease the occurrence of adverse reactions when used concomitantly with diuretics in the management of malignant ascites.

Being introduced in Korean peninsula, Chinese medicine, which is called Korean medicine in Korea, has caused great influence in Korean ethnomedicine, culture and living.Korean medicine takes an important part in Korean medical education and medical treatment. This paper introduces the origin of Korean medicine, the current mode and feature of Korean medicine education, as well as the overview and characteristic of Korean Hospital Affiliated Qing Xi University and Korean Hospital Affiliated Daejeon University. The mode of Korean medical education and hospital can offer reference for Chinese medicine education.

Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of combined therapy of Fuyuan Huoxue decoction and transcatheter hepatic arterial chemoembolization in the treatment of primary hepatic carcinoma. Methods 80 patients with primary hepatic carcinoma were randomly divided into a control group, treated by transcatheter hepatic arterial chemoembolization, and a treatment group, additionally treated by Fuyuan Huoxue decoction on the basis of the control group. By observing the change of gross tumor volume、tumor markers、clinical symptoms、Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS) score、quality of life and so on,compare the clinical effects and quality of life between the two groups. Results The effective rate of solid tumor was 47.50%and 35%in the treatment and the control group respectively, with no significant difference(χ2=-1.229, P>0.05);The total effect rate was 87.50%and 32.50%in the treatment and the control group respectively, with significant difference(χ2=-5.633, P0.05);The accumulated scores change of quality of life(QOL) has asignificant difference(χ2=-3.025, P<0.05) between the two groups after the treatment. Conclusion The combined therapy of Fuyuan Huoxue decoction and transcatheter hepatic arterial chemoembolization can alleviate the clinical symptoms, improve treatment effects and quality of life of patients with primary hepatic carcinoma.

Blood hypercoagulabale state of malignant tumor was the pathological basis of tumor blood stagnation,which led to tumor proliferation and metastasis and also influenced the therapeutic effect and prognosis of tumor.Based on knowledge of thrombin and tissue factor system,We discussed the mechanism blood hypercoagulabale leading to tumor proliferation and metastasis,and the influence of traditional Chinese drugs of activating blood circulation to dissipate blood smsis on tunlor proliferation and metastasis.We concluded that traditional Chinese drugs have sound effects on prevention and treatment of tumor proliferation and metastasis.
